Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Technology Group
This interview is part of a paid collaboration.
White Pearl Technology Group enters a new phase under the leadership of its founder and largest shareholder, Ebrahim Laher, who has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. With a clear long-term vision and strong alignment with shareholders, the Group is accelerating its transformation into an AI-first technology platform, positioning itself to capture the significant opportunities created by the global AI revolution. In this interview, Ebrahim Laher outlines the Group’s overarching strategic and tactical initiatives for achieving this transformation and explains why WPTG is well positioned to create sustainable long-term value for its customers and shareholders.
1: What does WPTG do and what differentiates the Group?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: White Pearl Technology Group is becoming an AI-first technology platform company.
We combine traditional strengths in IT services, software, digital transformation, managed services, infrastructure and business process solutions with practical AI capabilities. Our AI consulting model includes AI readiness assessments, GenAI pilots, AI agents, RAG systems, model orchestration, AI governance, AI training and managed AI support.
What differentiates us is that we do not see AI as a separate activity. We are embedding AI into our consulting model, our customer solutions and our internal execution. We also use in-house developed AI tools across our own business functions, which allows us to test, refine and operationalise AI before scaling it to customers.
Our aim is to help customers move from AI experimentation to real business outcomes: automation, productivity, better decision-making, improved customer service, stronger governance and scalable AI-enabled platforms.
That is why I describe WPTG as AI-first: not because we are abandoning our existing technology base, but because AI is now becoming the central layer through which we create value.
2: How does WPTG view AI transformation and how will you position the Group?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: We see AI as one of the most important structural shifts in the technology sector. It will affect infrastructure, software, data, automation, consulting, business processes and customer decision-making. For WPTG, AI is not simply a marketing label. It must become part of how we deliver solutions, how we improve productivity internally, and how we build higher-value recurring offerings for customers.
Our ambition is to position WPTG as an AI-enabled technology platform company. That means combining our existing base in IT services, managed services, digital transformation and software with scalable AI capabilities. We want to help customers move from experimentation to practical AI deployment: infrastructure, data readiness, automation, industry-specific applications and managed AI solutions.
The opportunity is not only to sell AI projects. The greater opportunity is to create repeatable solutions, improve margins, increase recurring revenue, and move WPTG further up the value chain.
2b: What are the key strategic initiatives to achieve this vision?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: We are already seeing strong growth in our AI business, but our next priority is to accelerate that growth while broadening our AI capabilities. A key strategic initiative is our acquisition of AIXIA, a specialised AI company and one of only two NVIDIA Elite Partners in Scandinavia.
Following the acquisition, we will focus on two key priorities.
First, we will further strengthen our AI operating model across the Group, enhancing both our AI offering and the way we operate internally by embedding AI throughout our organisation.
Second, we will integrate the expanded AI capabilities of WPTG and AIXIA across all 47 subsidiaries, creating a unified AI platform that accelerates innovation, deepens technical expertise, improves knowledge sharing, optimises sales and pricing, strengthens customer engagement, and enables us to deliver even greater value to our clients. It will also further improve our ability to integrate future acquisitions more smoothly, efficiently, and rapidly across the Group.
3: Tell us about your background and why you are the right person to lead WPTG.
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: I am the founder of WPTG and have been deeply involved in the Group’s development over many years. I understand the origins of the company, the operating businesses, the people, the acquisition strategy and the long-term potential.
My background is entrepreneurial, operational and strategic. I have built businesses across different sectors and geographies, and I understand both the opportunity and the discipline required to scale a listed company. What changes now is formal accountability. As CEO, my role is to bring greater execution discipline, integration, cash focus, reporting speed, governance and capital markets credibility to WPTG.
The next phase of WPTG is not only about growth. It is about quality of growth: stronger earnings, better cash conversion, better integration, stronger governance, and a clearer AI-enabled platform strategy.
4: WPTG has announced a recommended public offer for AIXIA. What does AIXIA do and why is it a strong strategic fit?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: AIXIA is a Swedish AI and IT infrastructure company with capabilities in AI infrastructure, data centre solutions, high-performance computing, managed services and advanced technical environments. Strategically, this is highly complementary to WPTG.
AIXIA is one of only two NVIDIA Elite Partners in Scandinavia, placing the company among an exceptionally small group of organisations recognised for the highest levels of technical expertise and AI infrastructure capabilities.
This elite status reflects proven competence in designing, deploying and supporting enterprise-scale AI platforms built on NVIDIA’s most advanced technologies. As a result, AIXIA enjoys a significant competitive advantage in delivering large-scale AI infrastructure projects for enterprise, industrial and public-sector customers.
The key advantages of having AIXIA onboard, who being an NVIDIA Elite Partner:
- Early access to NVIDIA’s latest AI hardware, software and technology roadmap.
- Direct engineering support and close collaboration with NVIDIA on complex enterprise deployments.
- Ability to design and deliver the most advanced AI infrastructure, including DGX and SuperPOD environments.
- Greater credibility when competing for large enterprise, government and research contracts.
- A stronger competitive position through certified expertise that only a handful of companies in Europe possess.
WPTG has strong application, software, digital transformation and customer-facing technology capabilities. AIXIA brings deeper AI infrastructure and technical platform capabilities. Together, the combination can strengthen WPTG’s ability to offer end-to-end AI solutions: from infrastructure and data platforms to applied AI, software, managed services and customer outcomes.
The public offer announced by WPTG values AIXIA at approximately SEK 168 million, with shareholders offered 5.33 newly issued WPTG shares plus SEK 10 in cash for each AIXIA share. The offer represented an implied value of SEK 106.53 per AIXIA share based on the stated VWAP calculation.
For WPTG, the strategic rationale is clear: AIXIA strengthens our Swedish presence, improves our AI infrastructure credibility, and supports our transition toward an AI-enabled platform company.
4b: Could you outline AIXIA’s current revenue and profitability?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: For the full year 2025, AIXIA reported net sales of SEK 222.5 million and EBITDA of SEK 5.2 million. The company also reported an operating loss of SEK 2.2 million and net profit of minus SEK 3.5 million for the year.
In Q1 2026, AIXIA showed signs of improvement, with net sales of SEK 44.7 million, EBITDA of approximately SEK 3.0 million, operating profit of SEK 0.5 million and a positive result after financial items of SEK 77 thousand.
From WPTG’s perspective, the strategic value of AIXIA is not only its historical profitability, but the technology fit, Swedish platform, AI infrastructure capability and the potential to combine it with WPTG’s broader customer base and operating model.
5: What has driven WPTG’s strong performance over the past one to two years?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: The main drivers have been a combination of organic growth, acquisitions, strong demand for digital transformation services, and improved scalability across the Group.
Also, our AI-driven software and proprietary IP business increased from 13% to 19% of total Group revenue in just two years—an increase of 6 percentage points, The growth was driven organically by the rapid expansion of the NEXUS AI platform, as WPTG deliberately shifted away from lower-margin traditional IT services towards proprietary AI software, managed services and recurring revenue, significantly improving both profitability and the quality of earnings.
In Q1 2026, WPTG reported revenue of SEK 143.7 million, up 45% year-on-year, while EBITDA increased 47.7% to SEK 23.4 million. The EBITDA margin was 16.3%, showing that growth has been accompanied by profitability.
The Group has also benefited from a broader revenue mix. Managed and recurring services, software platforms, IP and process services now represent a significant portion of revenue. This is important because it supports better visibility, stronger customer relationships and a higher-quality business model.
The next stage is to ensure that this growth becomes more integrated, more cash-generative and easier for investors to understand.
6: How many shares are currently outstanding in WPTG?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: As of the latest published share issues, the number of shares is approximately 31.15 million shares, subject to the final registered share count and any subsequent changes. The finance and legal team should confirm the exact registered number immediately before publication.
6a: According to the latest quarterly report, how much cash or equivalent does the Group hold?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: According to our latest quarterly report, the Group held SEK 49.6 million in cash and cash equivalents at the end of Q1 2026. We expect this balance to come down over the next couple of quarters as we have been actively acquiring new businesses and paying a significant portion is cash whilst still growing the business organically.
For WPTG, cash discipline is a major priority. As the Group grows, it is important that we improve working capital, accelerate internal reporting, and increase the efficient repatriation of cash from subsidiaries to the centre. This strengthens our ability to fund growth, manage acquisitions and allocate capital responsibly.
7: How would you describe WPTG’s balance sheet and leverage?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: I would describe WPTG’s balance sheet as supporting a growth strategy, but with a clear need for continued discipline as the Group scales.
We are a growth company that has used acquisitions to expand capability, geography and revenue. That is appropriate for our strategy, but the next phase requires even sharper focus on cash conversion, working capital, capital allocation and debt discipline.
For a technology services and platform business with relatively low fundamental operating risk, a prudent leverage level is generally one that allows the company to continue investing while remaining resilient. As a principle, we would want net debt to EBITDA to remain at conservative levels and not restrict our ability to operate, acquire selectively, or withstand market volatility.
My focus as CEO will be to improve cash generation and ensure that leverage remains disciplined, transparent and aligned with long-term shareholder value.
8: Does the Group have financial targets?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: Yes. WPTG has previously communicated long-term financial targets under its Vision 2028 plan. In March 2025, the Company announced revised targets including revenue of SEK 572 million for 2026, SEK 694 million for 2027 and SEK 827 million for 2028, with EBITDA margin targets moving toward approximately 17% by 2028.
In January 2026, WPTG further announced that the 2026 revenue forecast had been raised to over SEK 620 million, supported by strong organic growth and successful integration of acquired entities.
As CEO, I will also review how we communicate financial targets going forward. My view is that targets should not only focus on revenue. They should also include EBITDA margin, cash conversion, recurring revenue, organic growth, acquisition contribution and disciplined capital allocation.
9: What are the three most important strategic priorities over the next year?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: The first priority is the AI platform transition. We need to define and scale AI-enabled offerings across the Group, combining infrastructure, data, software, services and vertical solutions.
The second priority is execution and integration. WPTG has acquired a number of businesses, and we must now extract more value from the Group through common reporting, governance, financial discipline, cross-selling and operational coordination.
The third priority is capital markets credibility. That means better investor relations, more regular communication, stronger governance, faster reporting and a broader institutional investor base.
The share price is important, but it is the outcome. The real work is to build earnings, cash flow, governance, strategy and investor trust.
10: What is your acquisition strategy going forward?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: Our acquisition strategy will remain active but disciplined.
We are interested in companies that add strategic capability, customer relationships, recurring revenue, geographic strength or AI-related technology. We are particularly interested in businesses that can benefit from being part of a larger WPTG platform.
The ideal acquisition has strong management, positive EBITDA, good customers, clear synergies with WPTG, and the potential to cross-sell or scale across the Group.
We are not interested in acquisitions simply for headline revenue. The next phase is about quality of growth. Every acquisition must have a clear integration plan, financial logic, governance fit and value creation path.
11: Where do you see WPTG in three years?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: In three years, I want WPTG to be recognised as an AI-first, stronger, more integrated and more valuable technology platform company.
That means a Group with higher revenue, stronger EBITDA, better cash generation, more recurring revenue, deeper AI capability and a clearer position in the market.
I also want WPTG to be seen as a more mature listed company: stronger governance, faster reporting, better investor communication, and a broader base of professional and institutional shareholders.
Strategically, I see WPTG moving from being perceived primarily as an acquisition-led IT group to being recognised as a disciplined, AI-enabled technology platform with international reach.
12: What are the three most compelling reasons investors should look at WPTG today?
Ebrahim Laher (CEO) White Pearl Tech Group: WPTG has demonstrated strong growth with profitability. Q1 2026 revenue increased 45% year-on-year and EBITDA increased 47.7%, while the EBITDA margin remained above 16%.
Second, the Group has a significant platform opportunity. We have a presence across more than 20 countries, a broad technology base, and a revenue mix that increasingly includes managed services, software, platforms and IP.
Third, WPTG is entering a new phase of execution. My focus as CEO is integration, AI transformation, cash generation, governance and investor communication. I believe these are the ingredients that can help the market better understand and value WPTG over time.
A good final sentence would be:
“WPTG is a profitable growth company with international reach, an expanding AI opportunity, and a clear focus on turning growth into cash flow, governance quality and long-term shareholder value.”
